30 Things Before 30
I decided it was a good idea to publish a list of 30 things I want to accomplish before I hit the big 3-0. So here I sit almost 30 days after I turned 29 finally putting keys to blog post. I picked a combination of different things, some easy, some hard, all achievable!
Here it goes, in no specific order:
- Begin a family tree and understand more about my family history. (something I’ve always wanted to do)
- Explore a new career opportunity and change gears.
- Read and watch The Last Lecture.
- Go for a hot-air balloon ride.
- Bike the Wekiva trail (round trip is 28 miles.)
- Attend at least 3 local concerts.
- Attend at least 2 theatre productions. Avenue Q is first on the list.
- Donate 30 hours of my time to charity. Susan G. Komen was where I spent most of my time this past year.
- Go parasailing.
- Learn how to ‘really’ drive the boat. (easier said than done)
- Go to NY for some quality shopping.
- Plan a girls trip.
- Learn how to make a Thanksgiving turkey. (I’ve never had to do this)
- Teach Bonzo at least one new trick.
- Host a 2nd cookie exchange for the holidays.
- Take a surfing lesson or 2 or 3.
- Pay off all of my credit card debt. (I’m so close)
- Digitize all of my family’s old photos and organize.
- Take salsa dance classes. (I miss dancing.)
- Tune my flute and figure out if I can still play.
- Find a video game I really like and get really good at it.
- Learn how to make an amazing bisque - tomato, lobster, mushroom - it doesn’t matter what type.
- Play 18 holes of golf… in a row.
- Start working on another degree.
- Draft a list of places to go before I kick the bucket.
- Begin working on a new book.
- Go on at least 1 road trip.
- Get back into yoga and keep up with my practice.
- (Reserved for Ted.)
- Embrace being 30 & celebrate in style!
What am I missing?
