30 Things Before 30

I decided it was a good idea to publish a list of 30 things I want to accomplish before I hit the big 3-0. So here I sit almost 30 days after I turned 29 finally putting keys to blog post. I picked a combination of different things, some easy, some hard, all achievable!

Here it goes, in no specific order:

  1. Begin a family tree and understand more about my family history. (something I’ve always wanted to do)
  2. Explore a new career opportunity and change gears.
  3. Read and watch The Last Lecture.
  4. Go for a hot-air balloon ride.
  5. Bike the Wekiva trail (round trip is 28 miles.)
  6. Attend at least 3 local concerts.
  7. Attend at least 2 theatre productions. Avenue Q is first on the list.
  8. Donate 30 hours of my time to charity. Susan G. Komen was where I spent most of my time this past year.
  9. Go parasailing.
  10. Learn how to ‘really’ drive the boat. (easier said than done)
  11. Go to NY for some quality shopping.
  12. Plan a girls trip.
  13. Learn how to make a Thanksgiving turkey. (I’ve never had to do this)
  14. Teach Bonzo at least one new trick.
  15. Host a 2nd cookie exchange for the holidays.
  16. Take a surfing lesson or 2 or 3.
  17. Pay off all of my credit card debt. (I’m so close)
  18. Digitize all of my family’s old photos and organize.
  19. Take salsa dance classes. (I miss dancing.)
  20. Tune my flute and figure out if I can still play.
  21. Find a video game I really like and get really good at it.
  22. Learn how to make an amazing bisque - tomato, lobster, mushroom - it doesn’t matter what type.
  23. Play 18 holes of golf… in a row.
  24. Start working on another degree.
  25. Draft a list of places to go before I kick the bucket.
  26. Begin working on a new book.
  27. Go on at least 1 road trip.
  28. Get back into yoga and keep up with my practice.
  29. (Reserved for Ted.)
  30. Embrace being 30 & celebrate in style!

What am I missing?
